As of now, Nanrobot is offering these six electric scooters:

Without any further ado, let’s just jump right into it and see how these scooters compete with one another!

Handling & Motors

A scooter’s performance and the motors that it’s equipped with are two essential factors to take into consideration before making a purchase. This is why we have chosen them as the starting point of our discussion. As we mentioned earlier, there are a total of six top-tier scooter offerings from Nanrobot. All of them are built with different purposes in mind and target different demographics. Some are very high-end, and others are meant to fulfill a person’s regular, everyday needs. Let’s start off with the latter and work our way up to the top.

Nanrobot X-Spark

Nanrobot X-Spark falls on the average of the spectrum in terms of specs, unlike some of the big guns on the list like the LS7. The X-Spark was made to match the needs of someone that needs a scooter for daily errands such as riding to their workplace.

Nanrobot X-Spark is a single-drive vehicle equipped with a total power output of 500W, which is quite impressive for a scooter its size and price. Furthermore, it comes with 10-inch pneumatic tires which are responsible for creating traction between the vehicle and the road. These tires are best at ensuring the safety and comfort of the rider and do away with all sorts of wobbly handling.

Nanrobot X4

Much like the X-Spark, Nanrobot X4 is also average when it comes to raw power. Scooters like these aren’t meant for flashy stand-offs or racing. They are manufactured for people that are looking for a scooter that can get them from one place to another for a reasonable price.

Nanrobot X4 is also a single-drive scooter with a motor of 500 watts of power. It features a wheel diameter of 8 inches, paling in comparison to the X-Spark which boasts 10-inch pneumatic tires. The tires of X4, while they may be smaller in diameter, are pneumatic as well. This means that it can withstand harsh terrains and keep the rider comfy and safe at the same time.

Nanrobot Lightning

Now we’re moving up the ranks slowly. Nanrobot Lightning is the first step towards more powerful and high-end scooters. As we go down the list, we’ll see scooters with bigger and bigger power outputs.

Futuraride

Nanrobot Lightning packs two dual motors of 800W, giving it a maximum power output of a whopping 1600 watts. It’s also better at converting this raw power into top speed and overall performance. Moreover, the Lightning has wide wheels with a diameter of 8 inches. The tires are solid in nature, meaning that there’s no need to refill air in the tubes. Also, solid tires protect against nasty punctures and accidents. It is worth noting that the better the tires, the greater is the maximum climb angle of the scooter.

Nanrobot D4+

We are now officially in the extravagant category of scooters on this list. Nanrobot D4+ is the epitome of a high-end scooter considering its price and other incredible features.

The D4+ packs a mean punch in terms of power input, thanks to its massive 1000W dual motors. These motors allow the D4+ to effortlessly output 2000W of power while maintaining excellent swiftness. Furthermore, they account for its robustness and performance, in general. Nanrobot D4+ also takes the lead from the scooters that preceded it in terms of wheel diameter. It has a wheel diameter of 10 inches which enables it to climb steep hills and difficult terrain with no trouble whatsoever.

Nanrobot D6+

Next on our list is Nanrobot D6+, an equally daring and ambitious rival to the D4+. As you’ll throughout this article, both of them are very close in terms of their features.

Nanrobot D6+ wields two powerful 1000W motors, giving it a total power output of 2000 watts, which is equal to that of the D4+. Now you may be wondering, what’s the purpose of making two scooters that have the same wattage? We’ll get to that shortly. In the next sections, you’ll see the core differences between the two and understand why D6+ is superior to the D4+ in some regards.

Nanrobot LS7

Finally, we have the face of luxury – Nanrobot LS7. This bad boy is easily one of the most powerful scooters in the world, and not just the Nanrobot lineup.

The LS7 boasts two massive motors, each of 1800W. That means it has got a maximum of 3600W power output – higher than any electric scooter on this list. Nanrobot LS7 is capable of besting tough racing opponents, owing to its excellent ability to translate raw power to flying speeds. Furthermore, the LS7 has a tire diameter of 11 inches, which makes it competent to climb steep hills and ensures solid, contained handling.

Range and Net Weight

Next on our list of comparisons is the range and the net weight of these scooters. Range defines how far you can travel on a scooter, and therefore contributes greatly to its applications. On the other hand, we have the net weight which decides the portability of a scooter. If you’re someone who travels to places where you might have to carry the scooter around, the net weight is an extremely important factor to take into consideration. The weight is inversely proportional to the number of features and the power of a scooter. Let’s see how the Nanrobot lineup holds up in terms of range and weight.

X-SparkX4LightningD4+D6+LS7
Range35km40km40km60km60km100km
Weight19kg15kg29kg30kg35kg40kg

Nanrobot X-Spark

Nanrobot X-Spark along with the X4 is very light in weight, considering they don’t come with too many high-end features and massive power outputs. The offset of their lightweight is the loss in range and the maximum distance they can travel.

Nanrobot X-Spark weighs only 19 kilograms (40 pounds), making it an excellent scooter for people that travel to places where they have to carry their scooter around. Moreover, it can go as far as 35 kilometers (22 miles) on a single charge. That’s an impressive range for a scooter like X-Spark that’s meant for intracity travel.

Nanrobot X4

Next up, we have Nanrobot X4 – another scooter that is quite lightweight but lacks an extensive range. This is often the case with smaller scooters, – a trend you will notice throughout this article – they favor convenience and practicality over extra-powerful features in general.

Nanrobot X4 has a feathery net weight of 15 kilograms (33 pounds), which greatly complements its portability and convenience factor. The X4 also takes the lead against X-Spark when it comes to maximum range as it can travel to destinations as far as 40 kilometers (25 miles). This is due to the fact that it features a bigger battery than Nanrobot X-Spark, which we’ll discuss at length when we get to it. Let’s cross that bridge when we come to it, for now, it is clear that X4 is not only lighter in weight but also has a longer maximum range.

Nanrobot Lightning

Now we have Nanrobot Lightning – as mentioned earlier, a scooter that’s simply higher grade than the previous two, X4 and X-Spark.

We’ve been saying that for a while now, but surprisingly, the Lightning weighs about twice as much as the X4 and 10 kilos more than the X-Spark, which is a total of 29 kg (65 pounds). Don’t get too turned off though, this is because Nanrobot Lightning is a dual-drive vehicle with two motors, whereas the previous contenders had significantly lower power outputs. This also, unfortunately, yields its range equal to a maximum of 40 kilometers (25 miles). You can see the Lightning put its bigger power to good use since it has a much higher power-to-performance conversion ratio.

Nanrobot D4+

Moving down the list, the features of these scooters become more and more high-end. Nanrobot D4+ draws a decisive line between average scooters manufactured for regular use, and extravagant scooters meant for fast, aggressive, and fun riding.

We saw in the previous section that the D4+ has dual motors, each of which is 1000 watts. Such massive power output is what gives it a huge lead in terms of range. Nanrobot D4+ can travel up to 60 kilometers of distance on a single charge. That is 20 more kilometers than the scooters we looked at before. However, this does not bode exactly too well for its net weight, which is 30 kilograms (67 pounds). Higher net weight is inevitable with bigger motors and more incredible features, so perhaps not the best choice for someone that has to fold their scooter and carry it far distances.

Nanrobot D6+

The prime contender to Nanrobot D4+ is the D6+. It is much like a revamped version of its predecessor with several improvements, the most significant one is of minimum charge time. But we will discuss that in detail once we talk about batteries.

Futuraride

Nanrobot D6+ has the same power output of 2000 watts as the D4+ and has dual motors all the same. This obviously translates to their shared range of 60 kilometers which is significantly higher than models like the Lightning or the X-Spark. If you are someone that is looking to wander off to faraway destinations on their scooter, the D4+ and D6+ are great choices. However, they are not very good options if you plan to carry them around. The D6+ weighs a hefty 35 kilograms (77 pounds). So, scooters like the D4+ or D6+ are better for seamless and effortless long rides, rather than fulfilling a person’s daily needs such as commuting to their office.

Nanrobot LS7

The unparalleled Nanrobot LS7 stands alone at the very top of the electric scooter industry. It has very few noticeable rivals, which is all thanks to its amazing top-tier features and power.

Nanrobot LS7 weighs 10 kilograms more than the D4+ and D6+, which is a hefty 40 kilograms. But don’t let that number fool you into thinking that the LS7 is lackluster in any regard. Quite the contrary, actually, since its massive weight is caused by its extensive functionality and incredible features.

Even better, it brings a completely unprecedented range of a full 100 kilometers (62 miles) to its riders. The LS7 has everything a high-end scooter must have – power, performance, motors, range, and much more. It lacks portability considering its net weight, but it doesn’t make sense in the first place to be carrying around a folded scooter in your hands when it can take you anywhere at flying speeds.

Top Speed & Load Capacity

Moving on, the next factors to consider before buying a scooter are the top speed and load capacity. The good people over at Nanrobot fully understand that the customers’ needs vary astronomically when it comes to electric scooters. This is exactly why they have multiple top-tier products for sale, all of which are built to match certain needs and demands. Obviously, low-end scooters are not going to share the high specs and big numbers as the absolute best scooters on the list.

Nanrobot X-Spark

Nanrobot X-Spark sets the bar for all average scooters in the market. It is basically the standard when it comes to regular, workaday electric scooters. These characteristics are reflected in the numbers it has – in this case, the load capacity and top speed.

As we mentioned in the earlier sections, the X-Spark wields a single-drive motor of 500 watts. It does a good job of translating those watts of power into a max speed of 30km/h (23 M/h), taking into account the rest of its features and specs at the same time. Furthermore, it has a maximum load capacity of 90 kilograms (200 pounds), which is pretty decent for a scooter its size. Nanrobot X-Spark can safely and effortlessly handle up to 90 kilograms of rider weight, or other things the rider may need to carry with them.

Nanrobot X4

Next on our list is Nanrobot X4 – another scooter that fits nicely in the average category but one that has slight advantages over the X-Spark. You will see this become very evident from the difference in their speeds.

When it comes to loading capacity, the X4 much like the X-Spark maxes out at 90 kilograms (200 pounds). However, thanks to its superior battery and overall better performance, Nanrobot X4 can go as fast as 38 km/h (23 M/h). Therefore, maintaining an impressive speed while safely handling up to 90 kilograms of rider weight, the X4 is certainly a game-changer in the world of average-class scooters.

Nanrobot Lightning

Now we have the Lightning. This scooter is like a bridge, connecting the average scooters with the high-end ones. Definitely, a prime option to consider if you are not sure what kind of a rider you are.

Nanrobot Lightning features dual motors, each of 800W. Therefore, it has to convert these 1600 watts of power into noticeable performance and top speed. The Lightning indeed does a quite well job since it can go as fast as 48 km/h (30 M/h). As you can see, this is a significantly higher maximum speed in comparison to Nanrobot X4 or the X-Spark. Furthermore, the Lightning is able to sustain up to 130 kilograms (280 pounds) of rider weight which is very impressive.

Nanrobot D4+

Once more, we have entered the big leagues with Nanrobot D4+. As we mentioned earlier, the scooters from here on out until LS7 are in a category of their own. They are incredibly rich with features, have strong builds, and boast extraordinary performance.

Nanrobot D4+ is no exception in that regard. Since it wields 2000W motors, it is trusted to deliver top-notch performance and excellent swiftness. When riding this bad boy, you can travel with a maximum top speed of 64km/h. It is baffling for a scooter to have that kind of speed in return for such a small price.

Once again, we crossed into the big leagues after Nanrobot Lightning, considering its top speed of 48km/h which falls short in comparison to the D4+. On the other hand, we have the load capacity. The D4+ can safely carry a whopping 150 kilograms (330 pounds) on it without even flinching.

Nanrobot D6+

Moving on, we have Nanrobot D6+. Another extravagant and powerful electric scooter. Up to this point, we’ve seen the D6+ to have a considerable advantage when comparing its specs with those of D4+. Let’s see how they differ in terms of speed and load capacity.

Futuraride

Considering that the D4+ and D6+ have the same power output and the same dual motors, the question is how do they differ? Well, not in load capacity, that’s for sure. The D6+ can handle 150 kilograms of load safely, all the same as D4+. The max speed of D6+, however, is 65 km/h (40 M/h), just one digit higher than D4+. The main difference lies in the efficient battery that Nanrobot D6+ is equipped with. We’ll learn more about that in the coming sections.

Nanrobot LS7

So, how does the fabulous king of the Nanrobot lineup holds up in terms of speed and load capacity? Let’s find out.

While it can output an astronomical 3600 watts of power through its dual motors, Nanrobot LS7 also does a good job of highlighting this power through its speed. The LS7 can go as fast as 85 km/h (52 M/h), which is just mind-boggling to expect from an electric scooter. Moreover, it shares the same load capacity as the D6+ and D4+, that is 150 kilograms or 330 pounds. This is a beyond-impressive performance that you are being offered by Nanrobot. It does come with a steeper price though, as you’d expect.

Battery & Charge Time

Up next, we will discuss the batteries and the minimum charge time of the Nanrobot lineup. A good battery is pertinent to produce a good performance. If the battery is wasteful of energy, inefficient, takes hours and hours to charge, and doesn’t give the scooter top-notch performance, that scooter is worthless. However, as you’ll see shortly, the batteries that these Nanrobot scooters feature are nothing like that. They are mostly Lithium-ion and use smart chargers to further decrease the minimum charge time. So, without any further ado, let’s get into it.

Nanrobot X-Spark

Once again, we start off with the workaday Nanrobot X-Spark. Let’s see how good of a battery it has and how long is its charge time.

Nanrobot X-Spark features a battery of 36V and 10.4Ah which needs only 4 hours to charge. Obviously, the smaller the battery, the less time it will need to charge. It is worth mentioning that you should not charge any scooter unattended or for more than 12 hours, neither the X-Spark nor any other from the lineup.

Nanrobot X4

Next up, we have Nanrobot X4. Another average-level scooter in general, but it does hold some advantage over the X-Spark.

The X4 has a 48V and 10.4Ah battery, ten volts higher than the X-Spark. Furthermore, it comes with a Lithium-ion battery smart charger which lowers its minimum charge time to 4 to 6 hours, the same as that of X-Spark, despite the two having batteries of different voltage capacities.

Nanrobot Lightning

Nanrobot Lightning – the scooter that bridges the gap between top-tier scooters and the average ones. How good is its battery and how long does it take to charge? Let’s find out!

Futuraride

The Lightning comes equipped with a 48V and 18Ah battery, the same as Nanrobot X4 in volts but different in amperage. This battery can deliver significantly more units of current in an hour, 7.6 amperes, to be precise. However, the customer is allowed to have more control over the charging mechanism. You can either dual charge the battery within a minimum of 4 to 5 hours, or use one charger for 8 to 10 hours.

Nanrobot D4+

Now, we look at the high-end hotties. To start us off, we have Nanrobot D4+. Clearly, a powerful scooter, as we’ve seen throughout this article. Let’s see how efficient its battery is, then.

The D4+ comes with an excellent battery of 52V and 23Ah, both of which are commendable numbers. Furthermore, much like the X4, it has a smart charger that you can use to limit the minimum charge time to 10 hours.

Nanrobot D6+

Moving on, let’s look at the battery and charge time of Nanrobot D6+ in comparison with the rest.

We saw that the only difference between the batteries of Nanrobot Lightning and the X4 was that Lightning’s battery had better amperage per hour. Similar is the case with Nanrobot D6+ and the D4+ since they both have a 52-volt battery. However, D6+ takes the lead in terms of amperage by 26Ah. Lastly, this scooter has two charging ports, meaning that you can plug in two chargers and charge it in a minimum of 5 hours.

Nanrobot LS7

Next, we are looking at the popular Nanrobot LS7. Let us tell you all the details about its battery and charge time.

Futuraride

The LS7 has a 60V and 35Ah LG battery, in addition to a smart charger. We could not have expected any less from a scooter of this stature, and of course, it delivered. The minimum charging time is 8 hours, and the maximum is 12.

A Tabular Comparison of Nanrobot Scooters
